Privacy Policy

• Account details — your name, email address, and avatar or emoji, from sign-up or from Google sign-in.
• Plans you create — title, date, time, time zone, location, notes, and category.
• Circles and membership — the circles you create or join, and their visibility settings.
• Invites, RSVPs, and chatter — the email addresses you enter to canvite someone, their answers, and messages on a plan.
• Technical logs — basic request and error information needed to keep the service running and safe.

To run your shared calendar, show plans to the people they're shared with, and send the emails that make plans work: invites, RSVP updates, reminders before a plan, and chatter notifications. If a plan has a location, we look up the address and forecast so we can show the weather for that spot and time.

We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.

• Our hosting, database, and authentication provider stores your account and plans.
• Our transactional email provider sends messages from notify.canvite.app.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
• An address lookup and weather service, used only for locations you type on a plan.

Invite email addresses are masked in guest lists, so other guests see a partial address rather than the full one. Hosts can also hide the guest list and RSVP answers entirely from a plan's guests.

• Turn individual email types on or off in Settings.
• Edit or delete any plan you host, and remove guests from it.
• Leave a circle at any time.
• Ask us to delete your account and the data attached to it by emailing the address below.

We keep your plans and circles for as long as your account exists. Invite and RSVP records stay with the plan they belong to. Deleting a plan removes it and its RSVPs and chatter.

Canvite isn't intended for children under 13. Parents can of course add plans about their kids to their own calendar.
